International Expert in Quantum & Contract Disputes
Expert Witness | Adviser | Coach | Speaker
About
I am an international expert in quantum and contract disputes, engaged by leading law firms, global contractors, and government entities across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and the Gulf.
With over two decades of experience, I am regularly appointed as lead expert on complex matters involving major capital programmes - particularly in rail, aviation, energy, and large-scale infrastructure. My work spans arbitration, litigation, and adjudication, with a focus on quantum analysis, forensic commercial insight, and CPR35-compliant expert reporting. I am known for providing clear, independent opinion across every stage of the dispute process.
My perspective is shaped by a full lifecycle understanding - from pre-contract strategy and commercial leadership through to dispute resolution and recovery - underpinned by first-hand delivery of billion-pound programmes internationally. This breadth brings both strategic depth and practical credibility to my expert work.
Within both Tier 1 contractor environments and client-side delivery teams, I am known for securing commercial outcomes, resolving complex disputes, and protecting value under pressure. In the legal community, I am recognised for my detailed forensic analysis and a catalogue of successful, high-value cases where my expert reports have been pivotal. In most instances, matters settle before reaching trial - reflecting the clarity and strength of the evidence I provide.
After leading my own consultancy based in Mayfair, London, with offices in Sweden and Germany, for over 15 years, I went on to hold senior leadership roles within US-based expert advisory firms and served as interim COO within private equity-backed infrastructure businesses. I now lead commercial expert services practice area for a global professional services group operating across multiple jurisdictions.
Alongside my work in the commercial and dispute sectors, I am the founder of Bosley Gin - a luxury London Dry Gin brand crafted with the same precision and pride that defines my professional life. Using only the heart’s cut - the purest fillet of the distillation - Bosley Gin is crafted in only small batches on the coast of West Wales and bottled in the finest Italian glassware, where no expense has been spared in its presentation or provenance. We now operate globally, with the gin being poured in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, from London to Paris, Monaco, and New York.
My professional standing is reflected in a number of honours, including:
Fellow of St George’s, Windsor Castle
Freeman of the City of London
Liveryman, Worshipful Company of Constructors
Full Member, City Livery Club
Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA)
Top 10 Global Fellow, Prime Dispute (FPD)
Member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb)
Member, Institute of Directors (MIoD)
These appointments reflect a longstanding commitment to excellence, discretion, and professional integrity - qualities consistently sought by clients navigating high-value and high-stakes disputes.
My Pledge
In the resolution of high-value disputes, there is no substitute for experience. It is not a courtesy or an afterthought. It is the foundation of credibility - the anchor of judgement when the stakes are highest.
Expertise is not claimed. It is earned: over time, under pressure, and through results. In my world, where evidence must stand up to cross-examination and opinion must carry weight, nothing is more valuable than insight drawn from lived delivery.
Yet too often, we allow that experience to be overlooked - sidestepped in favour of youth, novelty, or appearance. We quietly accept the marginalisation of those whose careers no longer fit a conventional shape, or whose path has evolved beyond traditional roles. That is not progress. It is waste.
My pledge is to challenge this. To assert, publicly and professionally, that capability is not age-bound. That judgement deepens, and relevance endures, when grounded in experience. That those who have delivered, led, built, resolved, and recovered are not at the end of their value - but at its most refined.
But this is also a question of responsibility. We must do more than defend our place - we must create space for others. Those stepping out of core career paths should not face closed doors or silent networks. They should be met with opportunity, sponsorship, and respect. We have a duty to show the way, to lift as we climb, and to support one another - across generations, not in silos.
Age irrelevance is not about ignoring time. It is about refusing to let time be used as a barrier to contribution. I will continue to advocate for standards that recognise substance over stereotype, and I will work to ensure that expertise - real, earned, and tested - remains visible, valued, and fully heard.
Because in the end, this is not a matter of inclusion. It is a matter of professional integrity.
