Bean Research
Insight
Bean Research helps organisations create and measure the difference made. We passionately believe more evidence of what works, and how value is created, is needed. We’ve evaluated programmes supporting older people to stay in or return to – from the Age at Work campaign, which showed the social and economic value of retaining older workers, to research with the CIPD Trust on how people professionals can champion inclusion at every career stage. And we’ve looked at the difference that intergenerational programmes can have with Generations Together. Across our projects, our evidence shows that age inclusion strengthens both people and organisations. An ageing workforce and population is a growing national asset, and organisations that embrace it benefit from stronger retention, continuity and wellbeing.
Commitment
We’re committed to making evidence accessible, useful and fair. That means rigorous, independent evaluation, not just proving the value of age but improving practice. Our Social Value analysis of Age at Work found that every £1 invested generated £4.25 of benefit to society, reinforcing our belief that inclusion pays dividends economically and socially. We want Age Irrelevance organisations to have access to the latest research and insights to help grow an age irrelevant society, and are committed to help them do that!
Action
Through partnerships with employers, funders and charities, we will use research and evaluation to help shape age-inclusive strategies, measure outcomes, and amplify what works.
